$58.53-$65.51, $10,301-$11,529/month COMPENSATION RATE (depending on experience)

THE CLIENT
Our client is a retailer which owns and operates warehouses specializing in carrying quality, brand-name merchandise at lower prices that are typically found elsewhere.
RPG PROGRAMMER
Our client is looking for an RPG programmer for the Optical and CWT teams.
The experienced RPG Software Developer to help design, develop, support and implement solutions for our Optical and Jewelry systems. This person will work closely with the team's Engineers for supporting & management of our existing systems, along with new integration projects. Focus will be on backend integration and proactive monitoring and correcting issues with the existing Optical and CWT applications.
Some Activities the programmer will perform:
Updates/Enhancements to existing iSeries options
Analysis of existing Application codebase
API integration with iLocal Locker System
Coding based on Client SME approved Design document
On call on rotation basis
Collaboration: size of team, smaller – 4-5 individuals with devs. 7-8
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have skills:
Looking for someone who is vocal, and can understand changes, with knowledge to speak/explain logic when, and be able to document things well.
They must know their audience.
Be a self-driver.
Be open and willing to participate with the team, updating stories, ADO, being timely.
API integration into Java platform, and testing integration pieces of it.
Disqualifiers: poor attendance/lack of communication around attendance, not being onsite M-W, not meeting the team cadence, and lack of participation.
Position Ramp Up Expectations:
End of first week: take care of access, understand their knowledge.
End of the first month: start working on audits of other teammates, on-call support, address tickets. Not very many pages, more ticket related 1-2 tickets a day, escalation to right team. Participate in on-call rotation. Give options for solving, peer review for change requests, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duration: Role slated ASAP to start, to run through FY25 (8/31/2025), and chance to extend.
Daily Schedule: M-F, 40 hours a week, no OT anticipated. Team usually arrives anywhere from 7-9am and leaves around 4-5pm.
NOTE: This role will require participation in an on-call rotation once every 4 weeks, which will allow you to leave early for the day.
Location: Issaquah, WA. Role is hybrid remote, and candidate will be expected onsite M-W.
