We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic MRO Global Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, particularly within the power generation sector, and possess the ability to manage sourcing activities on a global scale. This role is crucial for optimizing our maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supply chain to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for MRO products and services.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure the best value and terms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to understand sourcing needs and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvements as needed to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier relations.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations in all sourcing activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics within the power generation sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a focus on MRO in the power generation industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to MRO procurement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) are a plus.
