Job Summary/Purpose
The HRIS & Payroll Manager will lead all aspects of US and Canada HRIS and payroll operations. They will be responsible for managing the bi-weekly payroll process accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process Bi-weekly payroll for multi-state U.S. and Canada employees including processing, terminations, garnishments, leaves of absence, taxes, and W-2s
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll posting files, support Finance department to reconcile payroll accounts, and provide payroll data as needed for financial accounting close
- Support external audits (401k audit, worker’s compensation audit, internal audit)
- Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners including but not limited to benefits, human resources, and finance
- Advise employees on payroll matters by answering questions and providing payroll information to new hires
- Prepare payroll calendars for US and Canada entities
- Monitor legal and procedural changes and update processes as appropriate (for example, NY Weekly payroll)
- Review and update payroll processes and procedures as needed
- Perform other related functions and complete ad hoc projects
- Ensure accuracy of W-2s and T4s
- Back up to setup, maintain and process new hires, rehires, transfers and promotions daily.
- Continues to automate processes, reducing manual data entry where possible.
- Follows up with managers in regards to entering new hire pay, transfers and any questions related to the changes they submitted.
- Conduct audits of HRIS periodically to ensure data integrity
- Ability to analyze workflow process gaps and suggest and implement improvements
- Assist to update, export and monitor information in the sales commissions and clothing allowance systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certified payroll professional (CPP required)
- Minimum 7 years related work experience and 5 years of managerial experience
- Experience with ADP, SAP/Success Factor systems preferred
- Strong verbal/written and interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
The annual salary range for this position may vary from $120,000 - $135,000, and if applicable, may be eligible for bonuses and other incentive opportunities. The rate of pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
