JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Portland, OR Headquarter office. This position is responsible for assisting the acquisition and asset management departments in financial modeling, preparation of investment offering memoranda, market research and due diligence on real estate assets for acquisition and disposition. The position requires proficiency in Financial Analysis, Microsoft Excel and solid writing skills. ARGUS Enterprise software experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the acquisitions department, brokers, capital partners, and third-party consultants to create financial models analyzing potential acquisitions and dispositions.
- Support the CIO, SVP, and VP’s in due diligence and market research activities, and the drafting of Investment Offerings summarizing investment opportunities. Role includes full support for team leads over the course of a property acquisition.
- Support the asset management department in budgeting, lease analysis, and cash flow modeling.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Support on special projects, including the drafting of case studies, updating financial models, SKB historical performance summaries, internal financial reporting and miscellaneous financial projections.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Can be an entry-level position for the right candidate (0-2 years of industry experience).
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA in finance, real estate, or accounting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of financial analysis. Knowledge of real estate valuation techniques and metrics, and generally accepted accounting principles helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specifically Excel. Experience with ARGUS DCF and/or ARGUS Enterprise is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and create accurate work product in a concise time frame.
