About the Role:
The Corporate Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive sales training programs that align with both global and local strategies. This role will focus on enhancing the sales team's skills, product knowledge, and overall effectiveness to drive performance and achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others succeed.
Essential Duties:
Training Program Development:
- Design and develop sales training programs that address key competencies, including product knowledge, sales techniques, customer engagement, and negotiation skills.
- Collaborate with the global Learning & Development committee to ensure alignment with the company’s overall sales strategy.
- Customize training content to meet the specific needs of various sales teams and regions.
Training Delivery:
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions using various formats, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning modules.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales team members to reinforce learning and address individual challenges.
- Develop and utilize assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
Ongoing Training & Development:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, sales best practices, and new product developments to continuously enhance training content.
- Work closely with sales managers and leadership to identify ongoing training needs and develop solutions that support sales goals.
- Implement a continuous learning culture within the sales team through regular training refreshers, advanced workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report on the impact of training programs on sales performance, including metrics such as sales growth, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve training programs.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure training content is relevant and comprehensive.
- Communicate regularly with global and local leadership to ensure training initiatives are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Trainer, CPLP/CPTD) is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales, sales training, or a related role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience with instructional design and the development of training materials.
- Proficiency in using training software and tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to travel as needed to deliver training across different locations.
