Position Overview:
The Litigation Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys. This role requires a proactive, organized individual who can work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. The successful candidate will excel in communication, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage document production and file management
- Perform e-filing in administrative, state, and federal courts
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and attorneys
- Maintain knowledge of court rules and civil procedures in state and federal jurisdictions
- Handle legal calendaring using Juralaw and other electronic court rule programs
- Coordinate multiple calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Prepare travel and expense reimbursements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Coyote timekeeping, and DMS (iManage) or similar software
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation secretary supporting multiple attorneys; knowledge of transactional law and administrative hearings is a plus
