Position Summary: Virginia Transformer is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is crucial for ensuring the design and development of high-quality transformer solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical engineering, experience in power systems, and a commitment to delivering innovative and reliable products.
Responsibilities:
Product Costing and Customer Proposal:
- Analyze customer specifications and requirements to design transformers that meet their specific needs and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers and project managers to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Prepare customer Product Costing with In-house Tools.
- Manage Time for various activities related to Quotation process
- Coordinated efforts between designing and manufacturing department regarding customer needs.
Customer and Project Management:
- Serve as the technical liaison between the company and customers, ensuring clear communication of specifications and expectations.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and documentation, ensuring compliance with both internal and external requirements.
- Share the Quotation package with Project Management Office in case of Order and complete System entry for the order.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical power systems, particularly in transformer design and application.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards pertaining to electrical and power engineering.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and precision.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Basic Knowledge on Electrical Concepts.
- Experience working in the transformer manufacturing industry or similar.
