Summary:
The Reliability Engineer will work in collaboration with the Technical Services Manager in developing the reliability strategy and program. The role is also responsible for partnering with the Maintenance Function to execute asset reliability strategy and management programs to improve availability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness. Where applicable, the reliability engineer should review capital projects to ensure that new designs match the reliability expectations of the asset.
Role Details:
- Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
- Responsible for development of the site’s asset reliability strategy and for preventive and predictive maintenance program and processes
- Monitors, reviews, and improves existing asset maintenance practices for effectiveness and adherence to established industry or company best practices
- Drives continuous improvement in maintenance practices making data-driven decisions including use of quantitative metrics and most current CMMS data
- Participates in the development and improvement of reliability SOPs and work instructions to support the program
- Partners with functional groups and the planners/schedulers to develop the scope and schedules for all equipment shutdowns
- Responsible for review and modification of shutdown plans on site dynamics, equipment issues, and production schedules
- Ensures clear and timely communication to sites functional groups on all shutdown issues
- Provides technical support for plant equipment and system troubleshooting
- Leads significant equipment repair initiatives, support Capital projects, and assigned process improvements
- Ensures that the reliability program is executed in compliance with requirements of OSHA’s PSM regulations
- Consults asset management development strategies to ensure activities conform to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)
- Vigorously track sand report monthly metrics (Key Performance Indicators, KPI’s) as well as prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives
- Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
- Practices Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001

Basic Requirements:
- BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- Strong MS-Excel, MS-Word and database skills
- Extensive Process Industry equipment knowledge and experience
- Clear and concise communication skills – verbal and written
- Working knowledge of OSHA PSM standards
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills
