Job Title: Senior Software Manager
Location: Bay Area, San Francisco, CA (Hybrid flexible schedule, with occasional travel to South Santa Cruz required)
Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 + Equity
Cubiq is representing a very exciting Robotics AgriTech business based in California, which will transform how we grow and distribute crops across the US! This company has completed its Series A funding and is looking to grow its software and robotics teams with this funding. They are in process of its Series B funding. This is an incredible opportunity to join an exciting venture in the early stages!
They're on the hunt for a Senior Software Manager, to join and lead their team across all areas. Including Robotics Software, app and web development, Embedded development, and Cloud infrastructure. This is going to be mostly a management role, guiding the team and providing assistance when needed, with 15%/25% of your time spent as an IC. There is currently a team of 7 for you to come in and inherit with a further 3 hires planned, under your supervision and direction.
The role is flexible on the days worked, but would require at least 1 day in their office in Redwood City, CA (Bay Area), and the occasional travel to South Santa Cruz.
They're mainly looking for someone who wants to be a part of change in agriculture, who believes in their mission, and who wants to drive positive change in this sector. The role has a starting salary of $170,000 - $200,000 (Could stretch for a great fit) and equity in the business. This salary and role will grow as the company does too.
Ideally they're looking for candidates with the following experience, but if you hit 70% of the following skillset's please apply:
- 5+ years of industry experience with Physical Robot systems/ environment. Ideally from a start-up, or in AgriTech.
- Experience in shipping at least one product, and involvement through it's full lifecycle.
- Production coding experience ideally with Rust, C++, JavaScript or Python.
- Experience across at least 2 of the following areas; DevOps, Distributed systems, Data Engineering, Web or Mobile Apps, IoT Software, and Embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of software development practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with management/ leadership experience.
Desirable skills:
- Coding experience with either Rust, Python, TypeScript/React
- NVIDIA Jetson architecture.
- Robotics software development, computer vision, ML and/or autonomous systems.
- Agricultural systems or farming practices.
