The School Psychologists (TSP) is a women-owned team of active related services providers (including Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists & Speech-Language Pathologists). TSP understands the complexities of the education system nationwide, and the nuances of the life cycle of the special education processes. We’re equipped and licensed to support children from ages 3-21 from special education preschool up through transition-age services.
In regards to rate, we can accommodate both 1099 & W2. Rate: Circa $60 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher with The School Psychologists, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities aimed at fostering the success of students from 3-21. Your role will include:
- You will work with a cohort of students as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure academic and behavioral growth and development, creating engaging and differentiated learning opportunities that cater to the unique needs of each student
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address students' specific learning needs and goals
- Create engaging, creative, and appropriate projects and resources tailored to students with special needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in using teaching platforms and technology
- Ability to work with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic needs
- Ability to be flexible, work in teams and creatively problem solve
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively.
