POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Operations Combat Medic Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing advanced medical care in high-stress, austere environments, and a strong background in training and mentoring personnel. This role is critical to supporting our mission and ensuring the well-being and readiness of our personnel in challenging operational settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Develop, plan, and deliver comprehensive training programs for combat medics and other personnel.
- Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions, covering advanced medical procedures and emergency care techniques.
- Evaluate the performance and competency of trainees, providing feedback and additional instruction as needed.
- Provide advanced medical care and life-saving interventions in training scenarios.
- Perform emergency medical procedures, including airway management, hemorrhage control, and trauma care, as part of training exercises.
- Maintain training equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for rapid deployment.
- Train and mentor team members in combat medical skills and procedures.
- Maintain detailed training records and documentation in accordance with military standards.
- Collaborate with other medical and operational personnel to ensure comprehensive care and support in training environments.
- Participate in mission planning and risk assessments to ensure medical support is integrated into operational training strategies.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Associate degree.
- 5+ years of experience as a Special Operations Combat Medic or similar role.
- Certification as a Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced medical procedures and emergency care techniques.
- Proven experience in training and instructing medical personnel.
- Ability to perform under pressure and in austere environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs.
- Knowledge of military operations and procedures.
- Additional certifications in advanced medical care (e.g., Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)).
- Experience with Live Tissue Trauma Training.
