Currency Exchange International is seeking a Payments Processing Specialist to join their Payments team in Orlando, FL!
Description: Payments Processing Specialist, 1 is responsible for processing incoming payments, wire returns, cash letters and cheque collection items in an accurately and timely manner. The purpose of this position is to optimize daily payment activities and cheque processing to assist with the best performance of the payments department and the organization.
Essential Functions:
Incoming/Returned/Outgoing Wire Payments:
- Monitor bank accounts to identify and process any incoming wires and wire returns.
- Review bank accounts for customer settlements and process end of day wire drawdowns.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients and banking partners to assist in end-to-end process of wire payments or wire returns.
- Requisition deals within TMS to process API and ACH customer payments.
- Process PADs in TMS and upload files into our banking partners’ platform confirming these are released according to SLAs.
- Communicate via e-mail with clients on low complex situations regarding wire payments.
- Modify wire instructions in the CEIFX Repair Queue to sanitize client payment instructions.
Foreign Drafts Issuance:
- Process orders from clients for foreign drafts that are placed.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and banking partners to resolve any issues regarding foreign drafts issuance.
Collection and Cash Letter Items:
- Process Cash letter and Collection Items.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and banking partners to resolve any issues regarding foreign cheque clearing.
- Update and maintain a database with banking contacts for collection and wire inquiries.
Customer Service Center and Administrative Duties:
- Triage new tickets submitted to the payments department and escalate appropriately and timely, maintaining the department SLAs.
- Field and respond to client inquiries as needed and escalate issues appropriately and timely.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, mathematics, economics or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- 1-2 years of work experience is preferred (not mandatory).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and the hours of work, and days are Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This job operates in a professional office environment and requires the employee to be in the office every workday.
