Reynolds Defense Firm is looking for the right person to join our team as a fulltime associate attorney in our Portland office to help us represent good people facing DUI charges.
As a place to work, Reynolds Defense Firm is unique, dynamic and, frankly, awesome. According to the Portland Business Journal, we are one of Oregon’s fastest growing businesses, and also one of Oregon’s healthiest employers, at the same time. We believe in what we do, and we take care of our clients and our employees – that is how we’ve grown into the largest DUI defense firm in the Pacific Northwest.
We have a great team of attorneys and staff, and together we’ve created a collaborative and dynamic culture that allows us to focus on doing fantastic work for our clients. This isn’t the right place for everyone, but, if you recognize yourself in this personality description, you are someone who can absolutely thrive here:
· You are solid – to us, this means you are honest, confident, compassionate, sincere, trustworthy, empathetic, courageous, smart, kind, and genuine.
- You have drive – no phoning it in. You are willing to work hard to achieve your goals and you have pride in your work product. You are adaptable and can roll with change. You can also anticipate outcomes, you are proactive, and you strive to improve, both personally and professionally, every day.
- You lean forward in life – you have a presence that is self-confident but not egotistical. You are a team player - RDF rises or falls as a firm, not as individuals. You are level-headed, professional, good natured, and you don’t take yourself too seriously. You remain upbeat in difficult times. You are be prepared to pull your own weight at RDF, recognize that sometimes that isn't enough, and pull some more. No drama.
Attorney requirements:
- You are licensed to practice law in Oregon.
- You have three to five years of criminal law experience as a defense attorney and/or as a prosecutor.
- Fluency in Spanish, and/or have Washington State DUI law experience preferred.
- If you feel you are over or under-qualified based upon your legal experience, but the rest of these qualifications perfectly describe you, please apply anyway – we are truly looking for the right fit, and we have some flexibility to broaden or narrow this role to match the right attorney’s ability and experience.
Salary range is $80,000 to $120,000, plus bonus opportunities, depending upon experience and fit.
Compensation also includes full medical and dental insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution after a year, generous holiday and paid time off policies, employee wellness programs, paid bar dues, PLF and CLE’s, and more.
