Collateral Field Examination and Appraisal Manager - NYC International Bank
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and Feedback: Analyze field examinations and appraisals, providing timely feedback on major findings to business, credit risk, and senior management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in examinations and appraisals; assess the reliability and appropriateness of reported information and ratings.
- Collaboration: Work with business teams on exit interviews and field examiners/appraisers; coach junior colleagues and manage examination schedules.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the status of examinations/appraisals, manage the BHI Dashboard, and prepare monthly reports on past due items and deteriorating trends.
- Vendor Management: Solicit quotes from appraisal firms, ensure fee compliance, and oversee timely payment processing; maintain vendor listings and approvals.
- Documentation: Prepare and review engagement letters; maintain organized repositories for reports and checklists.
Knowledge:
- Financial Analysis: Expertise in asset-based, middle market, and factor lending; strong understanding of credit analysis, accounts receivable, and inventory management.
- Market Awareness: Familiarity with economic and political climates affecting importing/exporting; risk management in credit cycles and distressed debt.
- Product Knowledge: Broad understanding of financial and banking products, including collateral monitoring.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in job-specific software, especially field examination tools (e.g., IDEA).
- Strong data navigation and keyboarding skills.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
