Job Title: Material Planner III
Location : Fremont, CA
Duration: 12 Months with Possible extension
Summary:
The main function of a material planner is to coordinate materials as well as other parts and resources that are needed to manufacture products. A typical material planner is able to appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials.
Job Responsibilities:
• Determine required materials and generating necessary purchase orders for them.
• Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
• Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments.
• Evaluate and prepare cost estimates and performance reports for material purchases.
• Schedule and monitor the supply and delivery of materials and products.
Skills:
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
