Job title: HR Manager

Position Summary:
In partnership with the HR Generalist, the HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources operations and ensuring they are aligned to our business goals, for two entities. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach.
Essential Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned)
- Direct and manage these major areas:
- Talent Acquisition – recruit, interview, onboard
- Employee Relations – conflict resolution, foster a positive work culture
- Engagement – manage surveys, communications, coordinate events/activities
- Compensation – process payroll, participate in and complete compensation market surveys, manage annual increase reviews
- Benefits – participate in strategy planning of offerings, manage open enrollment, administer benefit elections
- Performance Management – coaching, improvement plans, discipline
- Company Policies – creation, adherence, and documentation
- Compliance – ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including but not limited to: FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ACA, EPA, PDA, and more.
- Safety – ensure compliance with OSHA, manage Workers’ Compensation claims, active member of the company Safety Committee
- Training & Organizational Development
- HR Metrics & Reporting
- Respond to state and federal agency requests
- Manage HRIS/Payroll System: Rippling
- Provide leadership and mentorship to HR Generalist

Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Human Resource Management or related field, master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR related experience; 1-2 years management
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in HR software and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR information systems (HRIS). Rippling experience a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Professional HR Certification desired
Physical / Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
