A top 50 Am law firm is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join its esteemed Healthcare team in the Los Angeles, CA office. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work on cases involving medical malpractice and elder abuse law. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
As a crucial member of the Healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clients. Key responsibilities include managing all written discovery from service to completion, preparing for and attending trials as necessary, and developing comprehensive litigation strategies. The associate will also maintain professional communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel, conduct legal research and analysis, and manage pre-trial preparation.
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for familiarity in medical malpractice or elder abuse law.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in California and in good standing.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proficient in all aspects of written discovery and depositions.
- Experienced in preparing and arguing motions.
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a demanding workload while meeting deadlines.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually, based on a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will vary depending on qualifications, experience, skill sets, and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
