A legal services firm is New Jersey is currently seeking a certified Paralegal for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the firm's Attorneys in all aspects of patent prosecution.
Responsibilities:
The Paralegal will be responsible for:
- Conducting patentability searches, prior art searches, and patent landscape analysis
- Preparing and filing patent applications, responses to office actions, and other documents with the USPTO
- Reviewing and analyzing patent and non-patent literature
- Conducting legal and factual research related to patents
- Assisting with patent litigation matters, including document review and preparation of legal filings
- Communicating with clients and foreign associates regarding patent prosecution matters
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Legal experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Intellectual property and patents experience
- Familiarity with USPTO rules and procedures
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
