We are seeking a motivated Engineer-In-Training with 0-5 years of experience to contribute to our office as a Staff Engineer.

Responsibilities:
As a staff engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the design team/PM by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s). More specifically, responsibilities include:
· Meet quality standards and deadlines
· Understands client goals and uses effective communication and leadership skills to manage project schedules and budgets
· Assist in the development of opinions of probable cost and detailed construction documents; site and grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, construction detailing, bidding/specifications, review of shop drawings, and respond to RFIs
· Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office; serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
· Development of permitting applications and supporting reports
· Ability to analyze and interpret public agencies regulations and procedures
· Perform design calculations
· Quantity estimates / take-offs
· Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments
Qualifications:
· B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited school
· Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, EIT, or the ability to obtain certification within one (1) year.
· A minimum of 0-2 years of experience within Engineering industry
· Technical writing, solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues internally
· Basic CAD design skills and experience with a variety of design software and programs (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
· Ability to effectively plan, organize and schedule work to meet deadlines.
· Understands and uses engineering principles, codes, and standards in civil design, including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, and roadway.
· Understands calculations and programs used in design of civil systems and reports, including drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and roadway systems.
· Communicates in a timely and effective manner within team and with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines working on project.
· Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
**Must be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex or greater North Texas area**
