LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Diesel Truck Service Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Norcross, GA. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a medium and heavy-duty diesel truck mechanic with a proven supervisory background. This role involves overseeing daily shop operations, supervising personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and company guidelines, and maintaining productive relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and supervise daily activities of all assigned personnel.
- Provide appropriate supervision to employees, ensuring duties are performed in a timely manner.
- Hire, train, and evaluate shop personnel.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
- Follow up on additional work required for units that have undergone outside repairs.
- Comply with all Company, DOT, and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with branch management to increase sales and expand market presence.
- Assist with complex mechanical duties as necessary.
- Plan and prepare work schedules, assigning associates to specific tasks.
- Provide training on job expectations, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Perform duties of each position if necessary and assist in mechanical work when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Work extended hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with medium and heavy-duty diesel truck mechanics.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Flexible with shifts and able to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Strong customer focus and effective leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of computer diagnostics and shop maintenance software.
- High school diploma or higher.
- CDL license preferred.
- Brake and DOT certification is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
