An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently looking for an experienced Jr. Level Japanese OEM Program Manager to support their operations in the Livonia, MI area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ work experience in project / engineering management, technical sales, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position.
* Occasional visits to customer sites on an as-needed basis. *
Honda OEM Program Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain documentation regarding project status, engineering changes, product information, etc.
- Communicate with customers in regarding projects and provide status updates
- Creation of department / project activity reports for internal use
- Act as point of contact for customers to address any urgent questions, requests, or issues
- Projecting potential inventory, material, and manpower needs for projects
- Assist with budget planning and cost reduction analysis
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with internal employees and customers regarding project status
- Responsible for whole process for program launch including product development
- Other duties as assigned
Honda OEM Program Manager Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering field, OR in Business Administration is preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years’ work experience in Automotive Sales, Program Management, Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales with Honda
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication ability in a multicultural environment
- Organizational and time management ability
- Up to 20% business travel may be required
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
