Job Title: Program Manager (Content Development)
Location: Remote
Duration: 6-month W-2 Contract
Our client seeks a strategic and detail-oriented Program Manager who loves solving complex challenges and working with cross-functional stakeholders and external organizations to balance cost, quality, and cycle time constraints across content development. This role is the cross-functional catalyst that brings together internal teams, industry and university stakeholders, and 3rd party providers to design and build our clients most visible and valuable Certificates.
As a Program Manager, you will manage many of the early stage content development milestones, including the scoping, negotiating and contracting million dollar content development investments. Internally, you will partner closely with our partnerships team, learning consultants, content strategists and project managers to estimate production costs, conduct initial scoping for content development opportunities across the organization, and enhance our internal operating systems related to content development metrics and tracking. Externally, you will be responsible for assessing various vendor’s production capacity, capabilities, costs, and negotiating terms of our agreements with each vendor and acting as a liaison for their long term strategic success. As unique and ambiguous problems arise (and problems always do arise), we expect you to creatively and relentlessly unite stakeholders to achieve our content development goals.
Responsibilities
- Scope and cost estimate content development opportunities for our client and its Partners.
- Draft and negotiate the terms of the content development contracts.
- Manage the vetting and evaluation of third party candidates looking to join the content development network.
- Lead discovery conversations with Partners to determine available resources and desired content development outcomes.
- Manage the prioritization of content development targets across the company, gaining input and buy-in from various cross-functional stakeholders.
- Conducting executive business reviews and existing vendor evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance content development processes and systems.
- Managing quality assurance contractors.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years experience managing complex cross functional projects in a fast paced environment
- Prior experience managing vendor relationships, and drafting and negotiating contracts
- Prior experience pricing and scoping online learning programs
- Prior experience in content development and or learning design/development
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service to clients, vendors or partners
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management experience
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in education or business
- Experience with learning management systems and ed-tech instructional tools
- Demonstrated success building new programs and services
- Fearlessness in the face of uncertainty
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $50 - 55hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
