SALARY: Starting at $60K, higher based on experience
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7-3PM or 8-4PM, weekends as needed
Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Health Center Kitchen Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for overseeing Health Center food service activities and providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure the courteous and efficient service of quality and nutritious foods.

Essential Job Duties:
- Plans, schedules, supervises and directs Health Center dietary staff.
- Assists in developing all menus for Health Center residents assessing preferences and nutritional needs. Assists in assuring staff education is provided to dietary staff in accordance with the staff education plan plus provides on the job training for Health Center dietary staff.
- Assures, in conjunction with RD assessment and plan of care, that each resident’s nutritional adequacy is met.
- Maintains individual diet information by transcribing information from the dietitian’s weekly notes to the kardex, menu and nourishment list when indicated.
- Interviews new admissions and documents food preferences on the approved form.
- Contacts the dietitian between scheduled visits if unplanned or special therapeutic diets are ordered.
- Monitors and maintains budgetary compliance.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate required.
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager or receive certification within 1 year of hire. Serv-Safe Certification.
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience in food service operations of health care institutions.
- Experience with time-keeping systems. Good computer skills.
