The Director of Compensation will lead the organization’s compensation strategy, ensuring that our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs, including base salary, incentive pay, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Design and implement compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent while ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market surveys and benchmarking to ensure compensation structures are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Program Management: Oversee the administration of compensation programs, including merit increases, bonuses, and other incentive plans.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain compensation policies and guidelines that comply with legal requirements and reflect organizational values.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR leadership and business unit leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze compensation data to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present compensation reports to senior leadership and the board, providing insights into compensation trends and program effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the compensation team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in compensation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices, laws, and regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with compensation software and HRIS systems.
