About the Company - BGSF is representing a healthcare roll up company based out of Nashville, TN, seeking to hire a SVP of Operations.
About the Role -
Role is fully remote with up to 60% travel within their western US region. Looking for someone based in one of the following cities: Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, Seattle, Salt Lake City.
The Senior Vice President (“SVP”) of Operations is responsible for building physician partnerships, setting the Group’s growth strategy, and managing the clinical, financial, and operational performance of their Group. Overseeing an approximately $600M operational portfolio, the SVP is responsible for building a strong shared vision for their Group and ensuring they have the supporting people and operational processes in place to drive performance. The SVP will guide and direct a team of 3 VPs.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in business, healthcare administration or relevant field, and/or equivalent work
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of healthcare operations management experience.
- Extensive experience leading healthcare operations in a multi-state integrated emergency care system, integrated hospital delivery system or multi state medical group of $500 + million revenue including extensive experience in contract negotiations and with managed care models within a complex environment.
Responsibilities -
Operational Management:
- Responsible for managing three (3) Vice Presidents of Operations (“VP’s”) and provides strategic direction to drive operational excellence across the portfolio.
- Works with the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) to implement initiatives to improve major regional partner relationships and center management across the Group.
- Coaches and guides senior operations leads in building successful relationships between client and its providers.
- Articulates corporate initiatives to Group and develops enactment plan with VPs.
- Responsible for high level oversight and continuous improvement of the following areas with assistance of client resources: quality oversight, operational efficiency, cost Management, risk management, regulatory compliance, provider engagement, teammate engagement and retention, growth
Strategy and Growth:
- Responsible for development and execution of Group portfolio strategy.
- Fosters and maintains deep relationships with key health system joint ventures, physician partnerships, physician practice management MSOs and Private Equity groups.
- Develops Group business planning and growth strategy in partnership with Chief Operating Officer (COO) and business development leadership.
- Works with COO and Enterprise leadership in creating targeted relationship management plan with major market disrupters.
- Responsible for identification of new regional opportunities within communities and across payers
- Owns relationships with physicians and their growth needs.
Financial Management:
- Accountable for Group portfolio financial performance.
- Responsible for managing VPs and providing strategic direction to support optimizing financial performance of the region.
- Develops and maintains understanding of Financial Reporting and operation of assigned Groups, including presentations and communications with Lead VPs in development and communication of quarterly forecasting and budget models to leadership team.
- Assist the COO to develop Managed Care contracting strategy and monitor payer compliance.
- Review entire Groups portfolio, develops Group’s budget and assist assigned ops leads to develop their center level budgets. Responsible for managing and pushing back on portfolio and growth targets.
