Position Overview: The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, tuning, and inspecting components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, such as faulty wiring, refrigerant leaks, and mechanical malfunctions. Provide accurate repair estimates and recommendations.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain service procedures, provide maintenance tips, and address any concerns. Ensure a positive customer experience by being courteous and professional.
- Documentation: Complete service reports, maintenance records, and other necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Valid HVAC technician certification or license (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification). Additional certifications (e.g., NATE) are a plus.
- Experience: Must have knowledge and experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Skills: Proficient in using HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
