Job Title: Systems Engineer (Modeling and Simulation)
Location: Patuxent River NAS, MD (On-Site)
Job Summary: The Systems Engineer for Modeling and Simulation is responsible for supporting the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Enterprise Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) and Training services program for simulation, RDT&E, and training activities. This position supports a military flight simulation and training program that requires interacting with various stakeholders to ensure it meets program objectives. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on modeling and simulation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing simulation scenarios and providing RDT&E program support
- Performing software testing verification and validation (V&V)
- Providing technical support to test teams and events
- On-going support to RDT&E integration planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions
- Create and execute test plans to ensure software quality and performance
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for modeling and simulation software
Qualifications:
- Education: BS from an ABET accredited school of engineering or computer science
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience is required related to simulation scenario development or RDT&E support
- Security Clearance: SECRET/SAR
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with military training processes and procedures
- Experience with simulation frameworks and tools
- Experience with real-time simulation and modeling tools
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
