As we continue to grow, we will need highly skilled Construction Managers to join our team to support our various clients (LAWA, City of LA, LACCD, DMH, LACMTA, and more).
The Role
The construction managers will be responsible for overseeing all assigned project teams & management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our client’s initiatives and ensuring alignment with their business goals.
Responsibilities
· Lead stakeholder engagement to identify, communicate, and resolve needs while adhering to project principles and criteria
· Possess knowledge of construction contracting practices and methodologies, along with experience in the project construction life cycle from pre-construction through closeout
· Foster excellent working relationships with design and construction professionals to promote open communication and collaborative problem-solving in the project's best interest
· Monitor all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved work plans, Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs), and compliance with contractual obligations and technical specifications
· Apply knowledge of construction methods and techniques, and collaborate with the Design/Builder and stakeholders to plan activities, identify critical milestones, and address potential issues proactively
· Oversee budget estimates, staffing requirements, and the efficient assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to meet schedules and budget goals
· Ensure all work is performed to the latest plans and specifications, including approved changes and RFIs, while maintaining sound and safe construction practices to achieve quality control
· Prepare periodic progress reports for management and clients, and ensure effective implementation of all policies and procedures, including project labor agreements
· Actively participate in coordinating meetings with design teams, trade partners, stakeholders, and team operations
· Review and negotiate Contractor Potential Change Order Claims to resolution and contribute to TDG’s goals through productive collaboration with all stakeholders
· Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
· 6 + years of project management experience in active operating environments with projects more than
$50 million in value (Ideally transit, aviation, hospitals, universities, and major retail gallerias)
· In depth knowledge of project life cycles from Pre-Construction to Estimating/Buyout to Phasing to
Implementation to Closeout
· Experience with various delivery methods, including Design/Build, Design+CMAR, Design-Bid-Build
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
· Ability to work in CAD or REVIT
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or another related field
· Certifications: AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, and AICP / or any other relevant professional licensure of certification
Salary Range: $130/ Hr to $150/ Hr based on experience
