Investment Associate Role
NRP is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced professional to join the investment team as an Associate. This position requires attention to detail and the intellectual curiosity to develop knowledge in the private capital sector. NRP offers a unique opportunity to assist with the construction of the private equity and credit portfolios for the firm’s clients, which include fund allocations and direct / co-investments.
As a member of the investment team, this role will assist in every stage of our investment process, from idea generation to maintenance and reporting on NRP’s investment portfolios. This role will have exposure to unique investment opportunities and have the ability to directly impact portfolio management decisions. As an investment team member, this role will benefit from the diverse expertise of NRP’s employees, many of whom have held senior positions at private equity, endowment, investment management, and investment banking firms.
Specific Functions
• Work directly with senior investment team members to assist with manager diligence, monitor existing relationships,
source new ideas, and research investment theses.
• Evaluate the risks and merits of potential opportunities by conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Build financial models, return analyses, and presentation materials.
• Attend meetings and conference calls with external investment partners on a recurring basis.
• Manage internal portfolio reporting, which includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables.
• Coordinate the reporting process with the Investment Committee.
• Research special initiatives and strategic corporate development ideas as directed.

Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity/private credit, investment management, or related fields.
• Outstanding academic track record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
