Job Title: Product Merchandiser
Job Overview:
The Product Merchandiser is responsible for managing the lifecycle of products for our direct to consumer and wholesale channels. This role involves strategic planning, competitive market analysis, product sell through and profitability analysis, ensuring a compelling product assortment aligns with the company’s strategy, market trends and financial goals.
This role reports to the CEO and works closely with the design, product development, sales and inventory management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and execute product merchandising strategies that align with company goals and customer expectations
o Create seasonal and annual line plans to ensure compelling product offerings that align with brand DNA, strategic initiatives and financial goals
o Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and customer preferences to inform product selection and pricing strategies
2. Sales and Performance Analysis:
o Monitor and analyze sales data to assess product performance and make data-driven decisions
o Prepare and present regular reports on product performance, including sales trends, inventory turnover, and profitability
3. Customer Experience:
o Gather and act on customer feedback to continually enhance the product range and exceed customer expectations
4. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product development, marketing, sales, and inventory management, to align product strategies with overall business objectives
o Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to highlight key products and develop promotional strategies
o Work closely with the inventory management team to manage product replenishment and coordinate with logistics for smooth product flow
o Communicate product-related information effectively across the organization
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, or a related field
· 5+ Years of proven experience in product merchandising
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel and PowerPoint
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills
