This position is responsible for the leadership of the human resources function in TSM. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: including but not limited to payroll administration, benefits administration, employee relations and engagement, training and development, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/ employment, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance and ad hoc projects/task assignment.
Responsibilities
- Administer payroll and compensation programs.
- Perform benefits administration, including program renewal, claims resolution, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees as well as external counterparts.
- Develop and manage HR policies and procedures for compliance, employee wellness and safety.
- Work closely with HQ HR to implement company-wide policy and initiatives.
- Conduct recruitment effort for all types of employees; conducts new-employee orientations and onboarding program.
- Prepare and follow annual HR budget with headcount planning, people cost and training budget.
- Recommend and coordinate training programs, including compliance training and leadership development.
- Facilitate annual performance management program, people review and succession review.
- Coordinate annual company events, including but not limited to engagement activities, holiday parties, recognition, and service awards.
- Ensure operational excellence and employee experience.
- Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, including but not limited to counseling, coaching, investigation, disciplinary actions, and termination.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years human resources generalist experience and/or equivalent experience.
- Working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures in a manufacturing/chemical plant.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient using ADP payroll system.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- HR Certification preferred
