KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the compliance manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain operational standards for safety, inventory control, and cannabis compliance
- Serve as the in-house expert on California cannabis regulations, ensuring adherence to state laws
- Perform audits and investigations to confirm policies and procedures are being followed
- Implement corrective actions promptly to address any compliance deficiencies
- Lead inventory audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with the operations team to develop and execute efficient solutions
- Handle routine tasks under supervision, escalating complex issues to senior management
- Demonstrate diligence, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic
- Contribute to company objectives and perform additional tasks as required
- Review packaging and product compliance

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of inventory management processes
- Experience with quality management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on training and staff development
- Familiarity with various cannabis products and regulations
- Experience with cannabis software like Metrc, ERP, and other track-and-trace systems preferred
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a professional approach
- Team-player mentality and ability to thrive in a start-up environment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management, business, economics, or a related field
- Prior experience working in cannabis compliance, including familiarity with regulations, licensing, and operational standards in the cannabis industry.Compliance-specific certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry
