Residential Construction Project Manager
Red Cedar Capital Partners LLC has been a boutique home builder that is quickly becoming a residential developer in Charlotte & surrounding markets. The 3 equity stake owners total more than 60 years of real estate experience from single-family, multifamily, residential, custom, property management, wholesaling, etc. RCCP is the parent company to Red Cedar Construction & Red Cedar Realty. Red Cedar’s primary focus is acquiring land to develop it into quality homes that owners will be proud to live in. We build homes that we would live in.
Traits and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field experience is a plus, or a combination of experience and education.
- 2+ years of experience in residential construction is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of general construction.
- Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, Windows and etc.
- Must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced industry and run multiple jobs that are in different phases of construction, at once.
- Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills, and must be able to pay attention to detail, time management, and quality.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to perform regular site visits.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project schedules to ensure strict timelines are met, and jobs are in sequence.
- Frequently inspect projects to verify quality, and work in progress, taking photos of the progress of the projects.
- Ensure projects maintain a safe and cleanliness throughout the duration of the project. Job site cleanliness and safety are a top priority and everyone’s responsibility
- Communicate with our subcontractors and provide support to keep construction flowing without delays.
- Communicate with multiple departments to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Manage the job site and supervise daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedules and business scopes of work.
- Inspects and ensures that work is in compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes.
- Utilize construction management software for trade partner notification, scheduling, and invoice approval.
- Identify potential trade partners and subcontractors within specific regions.
- Oversee the construction and inspection of the home using inspection forms, plans and procedures.
- Negotiate solutions raised by inspectors and trade partners.
- Provide trade partner feedback to the Division leaders concerning the trade partner’s timeliness and attention to detail, with significant bearing on trade partner relationships.
- Maintain records of all change orders and/or purchase orders and inspections in a community.
- Determine whether to approve trade partner invoices upon satisfactory completion of the job and approve all deliveries for quantity and condition.
- Walk assigned homes at least once but preferably twice a day.
- Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled.
- Address safety, quality, and legal requirements to ensure a quality home is provided within budget.
- Other business-related duties as assigned.
Compensation
- Based on qualifications and experience. Compensation range inclusive of bonus plan.
- $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year with bonus potential
Schedule
Monday-Friday, typical daytime hours; 8a-6p. Occasional weekend work required.
40+ hours a week

Work Environment
Office and construction site environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, in addition to standard tools and construction materials and equipment used when building a home are used in this role.
Physical Demands
The role requires the ability to talk and hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of products and supplies, up to 50 pounds, may be necessary. Some travel might be required.
