Job Title: Pilots and Flight Crew SME Trainers (Modeling and Simulation)
Locations: Multiple [Patuxent River NAS, MD, Nellis AFB, NV, and Edwards AFB, CA vicinities]
Job Summary: The Pilot and Flight Crew Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainers (Level II) provide support to the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Enterprise Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) and Training services program for simulation, RDT&E, and training activities. These positions are responsible for developing and delivering realistic and comprehensive training programs for pilots and flight crew members in the JSE simulation and testing environments. Each site location will have a lead Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) to help better integrate the electronic spectrum domain into the simulation scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of realistic warfighting training scenarios to ensure optimal usage of the JSE simulation and testing environments
- Provide operation of flight simulators during training events
- Maintain student training records and documentation
- Support RDT&E activities to ensure realistic and accurate simulator environments are developed and improved to meet evolving threats and system capabilities
- Integrate electronic spectrum domain into the simulation scenarios
- Develop and maintain training curriculum for pilots and flight crew
- Conduct classroom and simulator training sessions
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback and assessments
- Collaborate with other trainers to ensure consistent training delivery
- Provide mentorship and support to trainees
- Develop new training materials and methods to improve training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA any field of study
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years as a Rated Military fighter pilot and/or Weapon Systems Operator (WSO), Electronic Warfare Officer, Combat Systems Officer, or other technical rated aircrew
- Security Clearance: SECRET/SAR
- Extensive experience as a pilot or flight crew member
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using flight simulators and training software
- Ability to create and deliver effective training programs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in training development and delivery
- Familiarity with modern training techniques and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
