This position is for the role of Chemical Process Technician at PWR North America. This role will be onsite and help to process production parts through the anodizing and chromate conversion coating processes, maintain bath concentrations, and help to handle wastewater treatment and hazardous waste containment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with chemical handling and chemical testing practices while in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Create and maintain specific tank makeup parameters, while documenting and tracking findings.
· Adhere to a fast-moving production schedule by assisting in part assembly, part masking, and in inspection parameters throughout the chemical process.
· Maintains all required logs, documents and records as required by documented process controls.
· Participate in chemical additions, by calculating and physically adding chemicals.
· Helps the quality team track down issues, and create corrective actions to stop them.
· All technicians for the Aerospace & Defense group will be cross trained with other elements of the production processes to encourage cross functionality.
Required Qualifications
· High School Degree or GED Equivalent
· 2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment
· Functional understanding of chemical testing procedures (Titrations, etc.)
· Ability to perform simple mathematic equations
Additional Preferred Qualifications
· Specific experience with anodizing, electroplating or special chemical processing.
· Specific experience with wastewater treatment, and chemical handling practices.
· Specific experience with metal treatments or metal finishing.
Education/Experience
· High School Degree or GED Equivalent
· Manufacturing Experience Preferred
· Chemical Handling Experience Preferred
Working Conditions
· Temperature controlled shop floor
· Chemical handling, only to be done with proper provided PPE
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 40lbs
