About this opportunity
The School Instructor is responsible for training students to produce the highest quality safe drivers. The School Instructor works with students both in the classroom and on the road, teaching them to operate a vehicle safely on the driving range as well as on public roads, and to learn the skills necessary to pass the state CDL exam.
Pay and Schedule
This position is Monday - Friday, day shift. The pay range is $23-$26/hour dependent on experience.
How you will contribute to the success of the team
- Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction.
- Monitor student progress and provide additional assistance as necessary.
- Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.
- Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What makes you a strong candidate for this position?
- 2 years verifiable OTR type Class A experience in the last 3 years or 1 year experience as a Class A CDL Instructor.
- Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment skills test
- Valid Class A CDL License.
- Clean MVR and background.
- Be able to perform duties of over-the-road, basic skills and classroom instruction as assigned.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by applicable state regulations.
