We are seeking a CMT Project Manager (CMT Manager) to join our Indianapolis, IN team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management
- Plan, organize, and manage CMT and Special Inspection projects from inception to completion.
- Provide assistance to Business Development Staff on project cost estimating during the proposal phase.
- Oversee the execution of field inspection and testing activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Project Financial Management
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and support to inspection and testing staff.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and codes to ensure proper execution of tests and inspections.
- Analyze test results and inspection findings, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the point of contact for clients and other contractors.
- Communicate project status, findings, and any issues that arise during the project life cycle.
- Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, test results, and documentation and review reports of others.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and properly archived.
- Maintain up-to-date records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and correspondence.
Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a team of inspectors, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide training, and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure all projects adhere to applicable building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of work and accuracy in test results.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and quality.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with at least 2 years in a Project Management role.
- Implements Atlas' Think 12 safety philosophy and follows our Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Technical Requirements:
- Relevant certifications such as NICET, ICC Special Inspector, or similar credentials.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in project management and LIMS software.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and Special Inspection methods.
- Project Financial Management - Relevant experience with budgeting, preparing change orders, preparing invoices and collections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders.
- Work independently with limited supervision.

- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager. Responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The Project Manager will lead a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinate with clients and contractors, and prepare detailed reports on findings and project status.
