The Richmond Group USA, Manufacturing Search division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager with a proven track record in lean manufacturing and operational excellence to lead the lean transformation for a dynamic, rapidly growing electronic products manufacturer. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers, optimizing production processes, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and overseeing the introduction of new products. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity. As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will also mentor your team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage engineering project budgets, and develop work instructions and design jigs and fixtures to streamline production processes.
Background
- Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. A Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory position.
- Experience in a medium-volume manufacturing environment and a willingness to be hands-on on the manufacturing floor.
- Expert knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing techniques, and Six Sigma principles. Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and process optimization.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office products, SolidWorks, and ERP systems.
