ChristianaCare Urogynecology practice is looking for a Medical Assistant.
Our physicians are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and are the only urogynecologists in Delaware board-certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Treatment options include physical therapy, medications, and surgery. Surgery may be outpatient, minimally invasive or major, depending on your needs and preference.
As a medical assistant you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. You will also be responsible to deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time Monday to Friday position (8am to 4:30pm)
- Will be required to work at satellite location in Smyrna, Delaware and Concord, Pennsylvania. Travel to the satellites will be based on quarterly provider assignments.

Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
