Honcho aims to supercharge each of these elements of the sport through our unique national amateur leagues, events, regional and national tournaments, and amateur tours.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a creative, data-driven, and highly motivated Social Media Manager to oversee and expand our presence across multiple platforms, primarily Instagram, while pushing aggressive growth on others like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to build engagement, foster community, and drive both organic and paid follower growth. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams, participate in content creation, and help build out our content/design team as we scale.Social Media Manager Responsibilities
-Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) to increase brand visibility, engagement, and follower growth.
- Create and schedule daily content that aligns with our brand’s voice: fun, energetic, slightly outrageous, and community-driven.
- Manage both organic and paid social media campaigns to boost awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
-Content Creation & Collaboration:
- Produce engaging and viral-worthy content that resonates with our audience, working closely with the marketing and sales teams.
- Oversee the creation of visual assets and work hands-on with designers and videographers to produce content when needed.
- Play a key role in building and managing the content creation/design team.
-Data & Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including engagement rates, follower growth, reach, conversion metrics, and more.
- Deliver detailed weekly and monthly performance reports, using data to inform future content and advertising strategies.
- Monitor trends, new tools, and best practices to stay ahead of the curve and capitalize on growth opportunities.
-Community Engagement & Customer Service:
- Actively monitor and engage with our community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, authentic manner.
- Build a sense of community through social media by interacting with league participants, influencers, and pickleball enthusiasts
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer service inquiries via social media platforms, resolving issues and directing customers to appropriate internal teams as needed.
- Encourage positive customer experiences through personalized interactions and proactive responses.
-Social Media Sales & Lead Generation Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop social media strategies that drive lead generation and conversion.
- Implement tactics to engage and convert followers into Honcho participants, partners, and community members.
- Track sales-related social media metrics (e.g., lead conversion rate) and adjust content and advertising strategies to improve performance.
- Leverage social media to promote league events, merchandise, and partner offers, driving direct sales and brand growth.
-Onboarding & Oversight of Creators/Influencers:
- Identify, recruit, screen, and onboard content creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors to represent the brand and drive online engagement.
- Build relationships with creators and influencers to ensure they align with the brand’s values and community-driven focus.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of influencer partnerships, ensuring content quality and brand consistency.
- Track and report on the performance of creator and influencer campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize reach and engagement.
-Event Promotion & Coordination:
- Work with internal teams to promote special events, league championships, tournaments, and community meet-ups via social media.
- Create event-specific content that drives engagement and builds excitement around these events.
- Partner with influencers and creators to extend the reach of key events and create viral moments online.
About You:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media, or a related field
-Experience: 3-5 years of social media management experience, ideally for a community or lifestyle brand.
-Skills:
- Strong understanding of all major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and their respective audiences.
- Experience overseeing paid social campaigns and budget allocation.
- Excellent content creation skills, including photography, videography, and graphic design (tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Previous experience with social media management/listenign tools, such as Sprinklr, Sprout social or Hootesuite
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful social media strategies and campaigns.
- Data-driven with the ability to analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights.
- Strong understanding of the sports industry and fan/participant behavior.
- Passion for building communities and creating engaging, fun content.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Compensation: Up to $55-70k per year
