Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personnel Director to lead the organization's efforts in recruiting, benefit administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess a background in human resources, knowledge of employee benefits, and employee relations. This leadership role requires someone who is a self-starter, highly organized with exceptional communication skills. The Director will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with relevant DHS regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Recruit for open positions by utilizing various job boards
- Conduct interviews, job offers, run background checks and onboard new hires
- Utilize data collection methods to assess organizational needs and inform decision-making processes.
- Provide education on company sponsored benefit plans
- Reconcile benefit invoices to ensure accuracy
- Provide education on company sponsored 401(K) program and enroll in system
- Collaborate with Administration teams to drive initiatives that improve employee engagement and retention.
- Handle employee relation issues with empathy and professionalism
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within human resources or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices
- Proficiency in data collection techniques and analysis for informed decision-making.
- Familiarity with Sage payroll system
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- An Associate Degree in Human Resource Management is preferred but not required. Experience in Human Resources will be considered in lieu of education.
