We are looking to hire a Full Time, on-site person with Operations/Office & Events Management experience for a fast paced, multifaceted and definitely never boring role at Big Deal Ltd. We are the city's only 1920's casino-themed speakeasy event venue and also a casino dealer school.
This job entails staffing and coordinating in-house and off-site events with vendors and clients, ordering office and bar supplies, organizing files, marketing and sales input, handling vendor payments and payroll (Gusto), along with various admin tasks as well as working the Events in the evenings. There will be some class scheduling and admin for the dealer school (which is intermittent at the moment.) We are a small business and prefer people who have worked for small businesses previously.
You have to be nimble, organized, focused and energetic. This is a Hospitality position that is client-facing as well, so please be patient, thorough and kind. ** At least 4 years management experience is a necessity for this job. **
We have a High Emphasis on client services and our staff is a tight team. The job is fun and rewarding as our whole mission is to make sure our clients have a blast!
Please note that we host events at least once per week, and they generally end around 10pm. This role will be expected to stay after all events for at least an hour to help with clean up. Otherwise, general business hours are 10am-6pm, with the expectation that you can stay beyond 6 when your job requires it.
Ideal candidate is able to Multi-Task to the highest level as things are constantly shifting and quick pivoting is often necessary. Qualifications
- Experience in Operations Management, Event Management or Production Management
- Demonstrated skill in providing outstanding Customer Service
- Effective Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
- Experience in the hospitality or entertainment industry is a plus
- Strong Problem Solving skills
- **** you must have at least 6 years of relevant experience. This is a senior management position. Even if you are a superstar, if you have graduated from college in the four or five years, you most likely do not have enough experience for this role.
Expect a 3 month hourly rate training/trial period @ $25/hr ($55k/yearly) before you bump to $65,500. Tips are additional income.
