Key Responsibilities:
- Crafting and executing user-centered communication strategies that utilize modern digital methods to create engaging content.
- Producing and refining captivating copy for various platforms, including web, email, digital, print, and user interfaces, ensuring it is informative, educational, or prompts audience action when suitable.
- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders through initiatives like campaigns, newsletters, events, training sessions, and other marketing and communication activities.
- Pursuing continuous improvement in quality and advising unit leaders on opportunities to enhance processes or project communications.
- Assisting in the planning and coordination of event logistics to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Contributing to the creative and strategic vision and execution for unit and project teams.
- Collaborating with project teams, IT professionals, vendors, campus partners, and other stakeholders.
- Carrying out assigned administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in marketing or communications, ideally in a higher education or tech setting.
- Outstanding written communication skills.
- Quick to grasp technical concepts.
- Strong communication abilities for both internal and external audiences.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.
- Adaptable to change and organizational evolution in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, with experience in collaborative features like tracked changes and document sharing.
- Open to utilizing and supporting collaborative and agile project management processes.
