Commercial Real Estate Partner - Boutique Law Firm
Position: Commercial Real Estate Partner
Location: Milwaukee, Chicago, Florida, and Delaware would also consider remote for the right person
Compensation: Competitive Earnings Structure – Up to 65% on Personal Billings, 35% on Serviced Work, and 15% on work services by others at the firm.
About the Firm:
A well-established boutique law firm, founded by former AM200 partners, is focused on delivering exceptional legal services through a client-centric approach. Committed to building deep, long-term relationships with its clients while providing a professional environment where driven, client-focused attorneys can excel.
With a unique compensation structure that rewards both growth and collaboration, the firm distinguishes itself from traditional models. It is not an "eat what you kill" environment, but rather one that offers substantial earning potential alongside the support and resources necessary to achieve professional and financial success.
The Role:
The firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Partner with a solid and expanding client base to join its team. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to transition their practice to a firm that fully supports growth, offering significant earning potential without the constraints of rigid billable hour requirements. The firm is especially interested in candidates with portable books of business starting at $500,000 or more, who are looking to further expand their practice in Milwaukee, Chicago, Florida, and Delaware.
Key Benefits:
- Attractive Compensation Model: Earn up to 65% on Personal Billings (PB), 35% on matters serviced within the firm, and 15% on additional work sourced through the firm. This model is designed to maximize earning potential while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Supportive, Professional Culture: Founded by former AM200 partners, the firm blends the expertise typical of larger firms with the flexibility and personalized focus of a boutique practice. The emphasis is on achieving sustainable, long-term success for its partners, rather than short-term targets.
- Opportunities for Practice Development: Ideal for partners who are committed to expanding their practice. With a strong existing client base, this role offers a platform that truly rewards growth and contributions.
- Stability in Downturns: This firm is primarily known for its Bankruptcy practice (not the only practice areas). Bankruptcy work often increases in economic downturns, offering a stable revenue stream when real estate markets may be slower.
- Cross-Selling Opportunities: Many bankruptcy clients need real estate expertise, such as handling distressed property sales, lease negotiations, or asset management. This allows for deeper client relationships and expanded services.
Candidate Profile:
- A highly accomplished Commercial Real Estate Partner with a proven record of success in client service, business development, and legal acumen.
- A portable book of business of $250,000 or more, with a commitment to further expanding this portfolio within a supportive and growth-oriented firm.
- A professional who values a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, seeking a firm that provides the structure and support needed for substantial professional growth.
- A client-focused approach, with a dedication to building enduring client relationships and delivering outstanding legal counsel.
