Job Description
- The Buyer will assist the Buying Team in expanding selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalogue and managing pricing. Job responsibilities include new product launch & coordination, maintaining product cost, retail price, content and images, vendor relations, and assisting with special projects. Additional responsibilities include supporting and training as a backup to Control Buyer.
Role responsibilities:
- Working with ERP system
- Speaking with engineering teams, vendors, issuing POs, invoicing, lead time, discrepancies
- Manual task work, data cleanup, missing lead time
Day-to-day:
- Team communication through Slack, a lot of individual work
- Completing assigned tasks given throughout day
- Interacting with suppliers and internal customers
- Working with hardware’s, finance, commodity managers
- R&D environment
- Use ERP systems to release materials and document
- Cutting POs, lead times, logistics in material flow
- Supplying material for internal metering centres
Requirements:
- Associate’s or higher degree in Supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering or related field
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel and Outlook)
- 1-3+ years professional experience
Nice to haves:
- Supply chain, Procurement, Planning, or logistics background
- ERP Systems
- Bachelor’s Degree
