The Role: Technical Product Manager – Data Products
Summary:
The Technical Product Manager – Data Products will drive the strategy, development, and implementation of data products and analytics solutions that support business planning, strategy, and goals. This role is responsible for defining the product roadmap, prioritizing features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Role Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Roadmap:
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for data analytics and reporting tools.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value and market trends.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, operations, and sales.
- Communicate product plans and progress to stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable data architectures and integrations.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all data products and platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Gather and synthesize requirements from internal stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates and incorporating feedback.
Agile Methodologies:
- Implement Agile/Scrum practices to manage product development cycles.
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for innovation.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all data products comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, data analytics or business intelligence.
- Understanding of data architectures, databases, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools.
- Strong communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of CRM systems and customer data platforms.
