About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer (OSP) to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting data, and documenting existing infrastructure. Your keen eye for detail and ability to work independently will be crucial in ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Work: Conduct site walks to assess existing infrastructure and identify potential issues.
- Utilize GPS devices and other tools to accurately locate and map utilities.
- Collect detailed measurements and photographs of infrastructure components.
- Identify and document potential hazards or obstacles.
Data Collection and Analysis: Utilize data collection tools and software to gather accurate and comprehensive information. (ArcGIS, 3GIS, AutoCAD, Katapult, trundle wheel, etc)
- Analyze collected data to identify trends, patterns, and potential improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation summarizing findings and recommendations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years previous OSP field collecting experience.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless technologies.
- Experience with data collection tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
