About the Role: Yonkers Contracting is seeking an experienced Claims Administrator to join our team immediately. This role requires experience in general and auto liability, workers' compensation, and property claims, and the administration of disability and Paid Family Leave claims. While construction industry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
This is a full-time, in-office position reporting to the AVP of Insurance/Risk Management. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in Claims Management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the intake and processing of all assigned claims (general liability, auto, worker's compensation, property, disability, paid family leave, and other related claims (“claims”)
- Serve as the primary contact for the Insurance Department in reporting all accidents
- Responsible for day-to-day contact with insurance companies and outside counsel for claims
- Assemble documents and information relating to claims litigation discovery in coordination with the Legal Department
- Liaison between Yonkers Contracting and claimants regarding eligibility and claim status
- Coordinate claims handling, settlements, and return to work options with management
- Responsible for status updates to appropriate internal employees
- Develop and distribute internal reports, tracking, and analytics
- Prepare Loss Run Reports for claims filed by or against the Company
- Pursue recovery of funds
- Coordinate responses to third-party subpoenas relating to claims and employment issues in coordination with the Legal Department
- As needed, assist the Legal Department with discovery responses and related matters for other types of claims
- Other duties as assigned
- Must meet requirements to work in the US (Form I-9)
Required Skills:
- Must have knowledge of worker's compensation, general liability, property, and automobile insurance regulations and have a general understanding of related litigation
- Must be able to read and interpret insurance documents and forms
- Must have good written, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Pay range: Annual salary range: $125,000-$140,000 based on experience, training, and education
