Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a multi-state law firm in its search for a Real Estate Litigation Associate. This is a direct hire, full-time role, and work can be done on a fully remote basis as long as the candidate resides in and is licensed in New Mexico. The candidate must be available and willing to attend in person hearings in New Mexico, as needed.
The Real Estate Litigation Attorney will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage and transactional matters and protect the client's interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage cases from inception to completion
- Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
- Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
- Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
- Other duties and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school
- One year of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law
- Admission to practice law in the state of New Mexico
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must have the ability to interpret client systems
- Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
- Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
- Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action
- Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary
- Overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change
