SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining and updating manufacturing and systems operating software and hardware, ensuring documentation for all modifications. Provides technical support across manufacturing areas and drives continuous improvements in software and hardware operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor performance and manage access to production software systems.
- Administer timely backups of production control programs.
- Implement software changes to meet production goals.
- Provide technical support and upgrades for manufacturing systems.
- Train users on control-related software.
- Recommend improvements to control systems and hardware.
- Specify software/hardware needs for new equipment purchases.
- Support production as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Technical degree or certificate with 5+ years of relevant experience; automotive experience required.
- Robots: ABB (S4C, IRC5), Motoman (NX100, DX100, DX200), minimal FANUC and KUKA.
- PLCs: Allen Bradley (RSLogix 500, Studio 5000), Siemens (Step 7).
- Drives: Allen Bradley Power Flex, Indramat, Ormec, Quantum III.
- Protocols: EtherNet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet.
- Welding: MIG, Resistance, HFI.
- Other Skills: Networking (TCP/IP), Allen Bradley, Siemens, Advantech HMIs, ladder logic, Visual Basic, C programming, Microsoft Office proficiency.
